Our Story
Deji and Peace first met in 2012, at Morgan State University, during an ISA (International Student Association) meeting. They both awkwardly said hi to each other in their first encounter. In the following months, they continued to see each other at events and parties because they had many mutual friends. They were not fond of each other because Peace thought Deji was arrogant, and Deji thought Peace was opinionated. But as time went on, they grew to tolerate each other and eventually became friends.
Their friendship continued to grow, and they confided in each other with any and everything. Years later, Deji and Peace met up at a steak house for lunch to express his true feelings to Peace. He said something along the lines of “if you decide to date me, it will be the best decision you’ve ever made,” and he was indeed correct. In June of 2017, Deji officially asked Peace to be his girlfriend, and of course, Peace said yes. Fast forward to October 2019, Deji asked Peace to marry him, and she said YES! & the rest is history.
